Unfortunately, America doesn't use the metric system :( so here is a little cheat sheet for you. A quizlet will be linked for extra practice

The lowercase m represents meters. It can be replaced with another metric abbreviation to calculate another unit (ex. replace m with g to calculate grams)

The easiest way to convert is to cancel out the original units on the numerator and denominator and multiply/divide by the desired unit

Fahrenheit to Celcius

°F = °C · (9/5) + 32

Celcius to Kelvin

°C + 273.15 = K

  • 1 inch = 25.4 mm
  • 1 foot = 30.48 cm
  • 1 yard = 91.44 cm/0.9144 m
  • 1 mile = 1.609 km

Volume

  • 1 teaspoon = 4.929 ml
  • 1 tablespoon = 14.79 ml
  • 1 fl. ounce = 29.57 ml
  • 1 cup = 0.2365 l
  • 1 pint = 0.4732 l
  • 1 quart = 0.9464 l
  • 1 gallon = 3.785 l

Weight

  • 1 ounce = 28.35 grams
  • 1 pound = 0.453.6 grams/0.4536 kg
